Apparatjik‘Light Space Modulator’ installation and performances

The Apparatjik Light Space Modulator at Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin opened on Saturday 12 March with a performance by Apparatjik at 9:00pm. The band performed inside a large-scale cube, while images were projected on the sides of the cube and onto the glass windows surrounding the building.

From 13– 25 March, gallery visitors can experience three different daily programs, as well as two more performances by Apparatjik which will take place on 26& 27 March. The full program at the Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin is:

13– 25 March

Daytime program:‘Responsive Light Space Modulator’
Everyone is a utensil.
Tue– Fri 10am – 6pm, Sat / Sun 11am-6pm (free admission)

Evening program:‘Apparatjik TV’
Film on rotating transmission.
6pm– 10pm daily, except Monday (free admission)

Night program:‘Pixel City’
10pm– 2am daily, except Monday

DVD release party in Berlin

To celebrate the release of the‘Ending on a High Note– The Final Concert’DVD, there will be a party hosted by a-ha.com in Berlin on 25 March. Join us for a special‘sneak peek’ screening of the DVD, followed by an a-ha disco!

This event was planned very last minute, but we are fortunate to have the help of some of the Oslo fan party team to help make the event very special!

Party details:

Date:25 March
Time:8:00 pm until they kick us out– DVD screening will begin around 9:00 pm, with dancing to follow
Location:Goldapfel Café& Bar, Heinrich-Roller-Straße 20, 10405 Berlin
Tickets:€13 per person– this includes two drink tickets
Food: food can be purchased from the café menu until midnight

How to get tickets

  • Fans can reserve their tickets beginning on 16 March at 11:00 am CET by e-mailingparty@a-ha.com
  • The option to purchase tickets will be given in the order requests are received, so please do not e-mail before 11:00 am CET, and please only e-mail if you definitely can attend
  • Ticket requests are limited to two (2) per person
  • We will send a confirmation and payment information via e-mail within 24 hours, and ask that you purchase your tickets by 19 March
  • If the party sells out, we will keep a waiting list of requests. If anyone does not pay for their tickets in the time allotted, we will release their tickets to fans on the waiting list in the order their requests were received.

a-ha receive the Spellemann Award of Honor

Tonight’s Spellemann award show at the Oslo Spektrum opened with a‘blistering’ version of‘The Sun Always Shines on TV’, performed by several artists including Thomas Dybdahl, Ida Maria and Bertine Zetlitz.

Following the opening song, a-ha was awarded the Spellemann Award of Honor. Morten and Magne were present to accept the award.“The band is a three-headed troll, but as you can see we are missing one head tonight. On behalf of us all I must thank you so much. We can not go away without thanking our families and wives,” said Magne Furuholmen.“Thanks to everyone in Norway, it has been a pleasure to entertain you over the years.” Morten added,“Enough said. Thanks to everyone.”

Apparently the band had been invited to attend the award show, but as they were not nominated in any category, they were unaware that they would be honored tonight.
